It’s farmers market and farm store season.

Check with your WIC clinic to see if they are participating in the farmers market nutrition program.

If so, you may be able to get extra money (checks) for fresh fruits and vegetable that can be used at the markets.

Please see the “Farmers Market” button in the app for details. Families can now search for WIC approved farmers markets and farm stores in the “WIC Stores” button.

In the app, go to WIC Stores:

• Select settings.

• Check Find stores anywhere.
• Select Any type of store.
• Select Apply Search Criteria.

Once done, any farmers market near you will show up in the store list and will have a message next to it saying, “This is a farmers market”.

• Seleccione la configuración.

• Marque Buscar tiendas a cualquier distancia.
• Seleccione Cualquier tipo de tienda.
• Seleccione Aplicar criterios de búsqueda.

Una vez hecho esto, cualquier mercado de agricultores cerca de usted aparecerá en la lista de tiendas y tendrá un mensaje al lado diciendo: “Este es un mercado de productores”.
