Respiratory cases are increasing in Iowa.  Follow these tips to stay healthy.

Call BEFORE you visit…

Call your pediatrician or healthcare provider if you or a family member show signs of RSV and need medical care.

Signs of RSV include:

  • Fever
  • Runny Nose
  • Loss of Appetite
  • Coughing or Sore Throat
  • Wheezing or Sneezing

Do not visit the ER for cold and flue symptoms, sore throats, ear infections, minor burns or injuries, sprains and strains, rashes or other skin irritations.

Help prevent the spread –

  • Wash hands often with soap and warm water
  • Do not shre food or utensils with others
  • Limit close contact with sick people
  • Do not touch eyes or nose with unwashed hands
  • Cough or sneeze into a tissue or shirt sleeve
WIC Baby RSV

Showing signs of:

  • FEVER
  • RUNNY NOSE
  • SORE THROAT
  • LOSS OF APPETITE
