How has Kansas WIC impacted your breastfeeding journey?
August is National Breastfeeding Month. To celebrate, Kansas WIC wants to hear how the WIC program has positively impacted your breastfeeding journey. The clips will be edited together and used as public promotional content in Kansas.
Please upload a short video clip (20 seconds or less) answering the question:
“How has Kansas WIC impacted your breastfeeding journey?”
To use your clip, we will need a filled-out photo release form for everyone in your video. Please upload your video clips titled with your first initial and last name so we can match them to your form. The upload link is at the bottom of the guidelines list.
Here are the guidelines to record and upload your videos.
Photo Release:
- Fill out the photo release form for everyone in the video.
Filming:
- Please keep the clips short, around 20 seconds or less.
- If possible, use a tripod. If you do not have a tripod, you might try using a desk, shelf, or table to keep the camera/phone stable while recording, or just do your best to hold it steady while recording.
- Avoid having the camera too low, or too high. It should be a nice straight on shot, not looking up or down at the subject.
- If you use a phone, record the video horizontally.
- Try to record in 1080p resolution.
- Film in a quiet room, away form an excess noise. Make sure to allow 2-3 seconds of silence looking at the camera before starting to talk and after speaking, before stopping the camera.
- Try to find somewhere with good lighting, next to a window is a great space.
- Make sure there is some room between yourself and the background. Try to avoid filming in front of a blank wall.
- Film at a medium to tight shot, so don’t film far away from the subject.
Uploading the form and clips:
- Upload video clips titled with your name, so they can be paired with your photo release form.
- Upload both the video clip and photo release form to the linked folder.
- Please upload your video by Friday, September 6, 2024
