Many WIC foods are naturally gluten free and/or vegetarian but they may not be labeled that way. It is important to read the ingredient label. If you need help, ask your WIC nutritionist, call the company that manufactured the food, or visit their website.
If you think you might have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, talk to your doctor about testing before you eliminate gluten-containing foods from your meal plan. This is the only way to make sure you get an accurate medical diagnosis and protect your long-term health.
