Wyoming WIC: Updates to Food Packages
Begin on April 1, 2025!
In April 2024, the USDA approved new food rules for WIC food packages. These changes are based on the latest advice from the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. State WIC agencies must implement most requirements of the new food rule by April 2026.
The Wyoming WIC program will make these changes in phases. Women’s and children’s food packages will be changed in the next year.
What is New?
- More food choices based on the latest nutrition recommendations.
- More options for special diets and cultural food preferences.
