Updates to Food Options

To help manage the costs while continuing to support WIC families, certain foods will be removed from the Approved Product List (APL) effective 8/11/25. These decisions are based solely on cost and availability and do not impact the nutritional value of WIC- approved foods. 

Key Updates:

• Kraft Deluxe Sliced Cheeses have been removed. Store brand deluxe sliced cheeses remain available for WIC participants.
• Ocean Spray, Welch’s and Mr. Pure juices are no longer available for purchase with WIC benefits.
• Natural peanut butters were removed in April of 2025.
• Organic eggs were removed in April of 2025.

WIC participants: Please scan items in the WIC Shopper app to determine if they are eligible. If you cannot use the app, please review your purchase receipt prior to approving transactions. If an item does not ring and you do not want to purchase yourself, please ask cashier to remove.
