World Breastfeeding Week occurs every year from August 1st to 7th.

It is intended to raise awareness about breastfeeding. This year, the theme for World Breastfeeding Week is "Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works." Wyoming WIC is focusing on the "warm chain" of breastfeeding that links mother and baby to their communities, like services such as WIC or to their broader family units. As we celebrate Wyoming WIC families and their breastfeeding journeys, we hope to show that our WIC families are not alone in their journey, and that the "warm chain" of support strengthens what works best for them and their babies.
