Yogurt Update

Iowa WIC continues to improve food packages to follow the latest United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) requirements. The next update starts April 1, 2026, to ensure food choices meet nutrition guidelines.

What’s Changing in April?
Some yogurt options will be removed from the Approved Product List (APL).

Why These Changes?
Yogurt options are being removed because they do not meet the new limits for added sugar. Approved yogurts must have no more than 16 grams of added sugar per cup. These changes follow the latest USDA nutrition requirements.

What You Need to Do:
Check the updated “WIC Allowable Foods” in the WICShopper app for an updated list of approved yogurts.
