              Lead Testing

Talk to your health care provider about whether your child needs to be tested for lead. They may ask you some questions to see if your child is at risk of lead exposure, yet the only way to know for sure is to have their blood tested.  (Webpage in English only).

Children on Apple Health (Medicaid) should receive a blood lead test at ages:

              • 12 months
              • 24 months

If no record of a previous test exists, then children should receive the test between age 24 to 72 months.
