딸기우유 Korean Strawberry Milk

딸기우유 (Korean Strawberry Milk) is a refreshing beverage enjoyed with strawberries blended into milk with ice. This recipe easily adapts to the type of milk of choice (lactose free, whole, reduced fat) and whichever strawberries are most available to you. Whether they’re fresh or frozen, the strawberries are mashed to bring the color and flavor to this fun drink.
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries diced (fresh or if frozen, thawed)
  • 8 ounces milk of choice lactose free, whole, low fat
  • 2 ounces plain or vanilla low fat yogurt
  • sliced strawberries to garnish
  • ice as needed

Instructions

  • In a microwave safe bowl, add the diced strawberries and cook in 30 second increments until the strawberries become soft and juice starts to develop.
  • Let the cooked strawberries cool down and chill overnight in the refrigerator.
  • In two drinking cups, divide the yogurt and milk evenly.
  • Mix until well blended.
  • Add in the strawberry mix, to taste, and ice, as needed.
  • Garnish with extra strawberries, if desired. Drink cold.
